Join the Climate Movement: Sign Up for Community Climate Ambassadors
This free, 3-session course is perfect for residents and local organisations eager to tackle climate change but unsure where to begin. You’ll get an introduction to climate change, hear from inspiring local projects, and receive support to turn your environmental ideas into action—whether for your organisation, community, or home.
Up For Yorkshire and Our Zero Selby are bringing you the Community Climate Ambassadors with Kate Urwin, the Yorkshire Energy Doctor. This programme is funded by North Yorkshire Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund.
We have delivered the first of our Community Climate Ambassadors training courses in Brayton in June! We welcomed 14 passionate representatives of local organisations, community buildings and parish councils, as well as interested residents, to learn more about climate change, and hear from inspirational speakers about their local environmental projects. Together, we explored ways to reduce carbon emissions and create a more sustainable future for our communities. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and make a positive impact.
“This course has inspired me to make a change not just for myself but involving my community, thanks so much”.
Want to be part of the solution? We have courses scheduled between September and December, free to anyone living or working in North Yorkshire! For more information and to book onto a future course click here.
