This year Up for Yorkshire will respond to over 30,000 requests for support, helping people with the struggles they face in life; from finding paid employment, supporting mental health and wellbeing, and learning new skills, to assistance with family problems. Anyone (not just Skipton Building Society members) can vote – just head to Selby branch on Gowthorpe and place your vote by their token system. At the end of the month, the charity with the most votes will receive a cash donation of £1,000, followed by £600 for the runner up and a final £400 for the remaining good causes!
